The XL Classic Thick-Bottom Banger was designed with all you traditionalists in mind. If you're not into cold start dabbing, this is the banger for you. Even though it will cold start well, it's ideal use is with inserts & the more traditional style of dabbing, where you heat the banger & let it cool for a set amount of time before adding your concentrate of choice. 

We went with a 4mm thick bottom & 3mm thick wall, providing a huge amount of thermal mass without going overboard. We found that anything beyond this point was too much. Extra thickness makes it difficult for some torches to get it to temp in a reasonable amount of time, and creates too long of a cool-down period, making it not as functional for sessions, either solo or group. 

The extra mass does take a little more cool down time, but you'll find it stays in it's "Goldilocks" zone for longer, making it easier to hit your preferred dabbing sweet spot. 

The quartz used is of high-quality, and doesn't chaz easily. This isn't a guarantee that it won't, it still can with some abuse, but it will happen less easily & will be easier to clean than most. They've been crafted beautifully, and are very straight, plumb & level. As long as your glass is good, they'll sit true. They've all got a chamfered top edge to help the bubble cap function properly. 

Each banger will come with a quartz insert and a small bottle of Dark Crystal quartz & glass cleaner. The quartz inserts are simple and won't help with flavour the way gemstone ones will. They will help give you an idea on if you'd like to spend the money & do the maintenance for a gemstone insert though (we don't sell these, but do understand there's always a number of people who are interested).
